I "mined" this quartz myself in michigan searching through the sandy beaches of Lake Michigan. I was born in Michigan, but never loved it, preferring tennessee where i was raised.  It felt important to me to fall in love with the place i was born. So i did. I have multiple items featuring stones that instantly take me back to my childhood playing with rocks in michigan visiting family members.
